Saturday, October 1st
2:00pm - 5:00pm PTC Kids Challenge
This year, Pedal the Cause is offering a ride just for kids! The 1-mile, closed-circuit ride will be held on Saturday, October 1st, preceding the PTC Opening Ceremony. Children ages 3 to 13 are invited to participate in this fun, family-oriented ride. There is a registration fee of $20 per child which will include a PTC T-Shirt and rider bib.
3:00pm - 9:00pm PTC Ride Village open
On Saturday, October 1st, Ride Village will open at 3:00pm for the Opening Ceremony. We welcome riders, volunteers, and the St. Louis community to come down to Soldier's Memorial from 3:00- 9:00pm to celebrate this great cause.
3:00pm - 9:00pm Rider Packet Pick Up
Those riding on October 2nd can pick up their rider packets on Saturday at Ride Village from 3:00pm - 9:00pm. Rider packets will include a cycling jersey, water bottle, a detailed map of their course with turn-by-turn directions and other important information about the ride, as well as special gifts from our sponsors.
5:00pm - 7:00pm Dinner
This is not your average burger-and-fries dinner. Pedal the Cause is providing a tasty meal prepared by a top-catering company for all riders. The price of dinner is included in the riders' registration fee.
7:00pm - 8:00pm Opening Ceremony
Following dinner, there will be a special Opening Ceremony which will include a few words from local physicians and our founder, Bill Koman. This moving ceremony will touch upon the importance of this charity in St. Louis and highlight the significant impact it plays in the cancer community.
Sunday, October 2nd
6:00am - 8:30am Late Packet Pick Up
Riders who could not get their packets the evening before can pick up their rider packets before the ride. We encourage riders to get them the night before to avoid long lines the day of the ride.
6:30am - 8:30am Breakfast, Team Pictures, Stretch
Before the ride, riders can have breakfast, take team pictures, and stretch.
7:00am 75 Mile Riders Start
8:00am 50 Mile Riders Start
9:00am 25 Mile Riders Start
9:00am 15 Mile Riders Start
10:00am - 1:00pm PTC Spin tent
This year Pedal the Cause will have a Spin Tent for those wishing to spin rather than cycle. The Spin Tent will operate from 10 am - 1 pm and riders will have the option to "sponsor" a bike by themselves or have a team of up to 3. Each "sponsored" bike has a fundraising commitment of $1,000.
11:00am - 4:00pm Post-ride Lunch and Celebrations
After riders complete the course, they are welcomed back to Ride Village for lunch and afternoon celebrations. There will be a band, a raffle, cycling vendors, and other activities post-ride to celebrate PTC 2011.
