About the Ride
We are only three days away from our inaugural Pedal the Cause event, and we wanted to highlight some very important information for all riders. We are now close to 700 riders and growing, so we expect a crowd on Friday and Saturday. NOTE: We are registering riders up until 8am on Saturday morning, so it's not too late.
Here is some important information to navigate through your PTC weekend:
The Ride: The tour of St. Louis City and St. Louis County will be a great urban ride through a mix of neighborhoods, St. Louis landmarks and our beneficiary organizations, Barnes Jewish Hospital, Siteman Cancer Center, and St. Louis Children's Hospital. There are many twists and turns, but the course will be supported by Police at dangerous intersections along with more than 100 volunteer course marshals to help with awareness and safety. All turns will be marked with orange spray paint, PTC signage and course marshals, but to be safe, please review the turn by turn directions linked here.
Rules of the Road: We are very grateful for all the support from our local police which included St. Louis City, St. Louis County, University City, Clayton, Ladue, Creve Coeur and Olivette. While the police will be monitoring traffic at some major intersections, the Pedal the Cause ride remains a "Rules of the Road" ride. Please obey all local traffic laws and pay close attention to all traffic lights and stop signs. For a complete list of important rules and safety tips, please use this link to our Important Rider Information page. And of course, Don't Forget Your Helmet.
Weather: Currently the forecast is perfect! Low of 52, High of 77 and Sunny!
