New Melle Open Water Swims

Come out to the Dive Stop in New Melle every other Thursday night at 6:15pm for a fabulous open water experience. The spring-fed quarry is about 400yds all the way around. We have a boat on the water for safety, and a great mix of experienced triathletes and some brand new to open water and wetsuits. $5 to swim. Bring wetsuit, goggles, towel, change of clothes.

DIVE-STOP

Directions:
 - Hwy. 70 west to Hwy. Z (Church Street) exit, Go left on Hwy Z for approx 8 miles, Dive Stop is on the left

For Hwy. 40/64, there are three ways to get to Dive Stop.

1. Hwy. 40/64 west to Hwy. 94, go left on 94, to Hwy. D follow Hwy D to New Melle. In the town of New Melle, make a right on Hwy. Z, go approx. 1.5 miles and Dive Stop is on the right.

2. Hwy. 40/64 west to Hwy. DD (Winghaven) exit, go left on DD. Make a right on Hwy. D In the town of New Melle, make a right on Hwy. Z, go approx. 1.5 miles and Dive Stop is on the right.

3. Hwy. 40/64 west to Hwy. N, exit on the second Hwy N exit, (this exit is under the bridge) Go approx. 5 miles to Hwy. Z Make a left. Dive Stop is approx 5 miles on the left.
