Ghisallo Running Purchases Marathon Sports

And then there were three stores...

WE HAVE ANOTHER STORE!!! After 35 years in the St. Louis area running community, the founders of Marathon Sports, Jerry and Karen Kokesh, have retired from running (no pun intended) the oldest independent running store in St. Louis. Ghisallo Running is pleased to have had the opportunity to become the new owners of Marathon Sports. Marathon Sports will retain its name, but in July will move to a new location at 13393 Olive Boulevard, just 1/8 mile east of its current location at Woods Mill Road (141) and Olive Boulevard. In the meantime, you can still visit the store at its current location, 13453 Chesterfield Shopping Plaza. The new store, located in Woodchase Plaza, will carry all major brands of running footwear, including Asics, and will have a full selection of clothing, nutrition, and accessories. All major credit cards will be accepted. Dedicated Marathon Sports customers will still be seeing long-time Marathon Sports Manager Greg Reecht at the store as well as some new and familiar faces from our University City store. Details on our Grand Opening will be coming soon. We are continuing all the Marathon Sports races, including the 34th Annual Missouri River 8K (July 11) and the Snowball Series. Details on our open house will be arriving in your e-mail box the first week of July.
