How long in the sport? - This is my sixth season
What is your goal A race for this year? - Two A Races for 2010 - Chicago Olympic and Branson IM 70.3
Do you wash your smelly training clothes or does your lovely wife put up with that? - Both. I wash them sometimes, but she seems to take care of it most of the time. Thanks Sara!!
What bike do you ride? - Cervelo P2C
Who is your favorite athlete besides me? - I'd have to say my favorite athlete of all time is probably Brett Favre.
Where is your dream race location? - I'd like to do the Cancun IM 70.3 someday.
How many beers do you plan on drinking with me after Ironman 70.3 Kansas? - Well, I'll lose about 8 pounds of water weight, so I think that is just about a 12 pack!
What is your favorite leg? - I really do like them all, it varies race to race, but I'd have to say I like open water swims the best.
Who is your coach and do you like him? - Rob Whitehead is my coach. I chose Rob mostly because of his amazing accomplishments, but also because his knowledge extends beyond the three legs and into physiology and nutrition.
What is the hardest workout he has given you this season? - The 3.5 hour bricks on Saturdays will let you know where you really are in your training.
How much can you bicep curl? - Well, I know I can curl 12 ounces.
Who will be the Men and Woman champions at Kona this year? Chris Lieto and Miranda Carfrae
Where is your favorite training spot. - CC Lake
Running shoe? - Brooks - I've tried everything and Brooks are perfect for my stride and foot strike
Do you know how to fix a flat? - I can fix a flat and have done so during a race...albeit very slowly.
What do you do to pay the mortgage on the Italian Villa? - I am the CEO of Phase 5 Consulting
How many kids? - I have two great kids, Hanna and Nathan
